My ULTIMATE Winter Bucket List

Winter is, without a doubt, my favourite season. Why, you ask? Well, I think you can guess… Christmas, the most magical time of the year rocks up, my birthday is in winter, the best holiday ever – skiing happens during this time, everything is magical, snow might come (or might not if you live in the UK like me) Carol concerts book up calendars, the CHOCOLATE, and just generally the snuggly blankets, woolly jumpers and socks, hot choccy, curling up with a good book and having movie nights in whilst you can hear the wind and the rain outside. It is just the cosiest time EVER. How can you not adore it?
My ultimate wish is that it will be a white Christmas, but I’m trying to not be too optimistic because it’s unlikely to happen.
But anyway, here is the list of things I want to do every winter, some of them COVID friendly, some of them not, but you could be reading this and the pandemic could be over soooooo…
1. Winter Wonderland in London
2. Christmas Markets @ home and abroad
3. Build a snowman
4. Go skiing
5. Have a snowball fight
6. Watch a YouTubers Vlogmas (Zoe Sugg always does the most Christmassy ones)
7. Go to a Carol Concert
8. Go sledging down a HUGE hill on an old, wooden sleigh. (trust me, these are the best kind – go ask your grandparents for one, they’ll probably have one in the basement somewhere)
9. Go see the Christmas lights in London, like the one's Covent Garden
10. Have afternoon tea in a Hotel in London
11. Create a winter playlist (Micheal Buble is brilliant for Christmas)
12. Make a snow angel
13. Make paper snowflakes and hang them up
14. Make soup and bread from scratch
15. Bake some wintery themed biscuits
16. Buy and decorate a REAL Christmas tree
17. Visit a garden centre
18. Make a winter wreath
19. Have a secret Santa
20. Go on a wintery walk in a forest
21. Make a gingerbread house
22. Have a movie marathon (Harry Potter always goes down a TREAT)
23. Cosy up by the fire and read a book
24. Have a Spa Day
25. Have a PJ day
26. Make a pillow fort
27. Go ice skating (If you live in the UK – Natural History Museum in London is the way to go.)
28. Go to a concert (Again, UK buddies – Capital Jingle Bell Ball ROCKS)
29. Go see a play or a musical (London -West End at Christmas Time = WOW)
30. Learn to knit
31. Bake Chelsea Buns/Cinnamon Buns
32. Make Gingerbread
33. S’mores
34. Try and build an Igloo
35. Paint/draw a wintery scene
36. Go for a midnight walk and stargaze
37. Learn constellations
38. Go on a shopping spree
39. Go on a SELF CARE shopping spree (E.g. Lush)
40. Send candy canes and Christmas Cards
41. Buy a new woolly hat
42. Make Christmas decorations
43. Go bowling
44. Visit a cosy bookshop or library
45. Celebrate Chinese New Year
46. See the Nutcracker ballet
47. Read ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas
48. Watch classic Christmas films… The Snowman, Home Alone, the Nativity…
49. Watch Briget Jones’s Diary
50. Watch the Christmas TV specials – Call the Midwife, Miranda, Michael McIntyre…
