Winter is, without a doubt, my favourite season. Why, you ask? Well, I think you can guess… Christmas, the most magical time of the year rocks up, my birthday is in winter, the best holiday ever – skiing happens during this time, everything is magical, snow might come (or might not if you live in the UK like me) Carol concerts book up calendars, the CHOCOLATE, and just generally the snuggly blankets, woolly jumpers and socks, hot choccy, curling up with a good book and having movie nights in whilst you can hear the wind and the rain outside. It is just the cosiest time EVER. How can you not adore it?

My ultimate wish is that it will be a white Christmas, but I’m trying to not be too optimistic because it’s unlikely to happen.

But anyway, here is the list of things I want to do every winter, some of them COVID friendly, some of them not, but you could be reading this and the pandemic could be over soooooo…

1. Winter Wonderland in London

2. Christmas Markets @ home and abroad

3. Build a snowman

4. Go skiing

5. Have a snowball fight

6. Watch a YouTubers Vlogmas (Zoe Sugg always does the most Christmassy ones)

7. Go to a Carol Concert

8. Go sledging down a HUGE hill on an old, wooden sleigh. (trust me, these are the best kind – go ask your grandparents for one, they’ll probably have one in the basement somewhere)

9. Go see the Christmas lights in London, like the one's Covent Garden

10. Have afternoon tea in a Hotel in London

11. Create a winter playlist (Micheal Buble is brilliant for Christmas)

23. Cosy up by the fire and read a book

24. Have a Spa Day

25. Have a PJ day

26. Make a pillow fort

27. Go ice skating (If you live in the UK – Natural History Museum in London is the way to go.)

28. Go to a concert (Again, UK buddies – Capital Jingle Bell Ball ROCKS)

29. Go see a play or a musical (London -West End at Christmas Time = WOW)

30. Learn to knit

31. Bake Chelsea Buns/Cinnamon Buns

32. Make Gingerbread

33. S’mores

34. Try and build an Igloo

35. Paint/draw a wintery scene

36. Go for a midnight walk and stargaze

37. Learn constellations

38. Go on a shopping spree

39. Go on a SELF CARE shopping spree (E.g. Lush)

40. Send candy canes and Christmas Cards

41. Buy a new woolly hat

42. Make Christmas decorations

43. Go bowling

44. Visit a cosy bookshop or library

45. Celebrate Chinese New Year

46. See the Nutcracker ballet

47. Read ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas

48. Watch classic Christmas films… The Snowman, Home Alone, the Nativity…

Why won't it come sooner?
