I think that starting to make money as a teen (from a teen) can be a beneficial experience. At this time in our lives, we do not live under financial stress. Our parents pay for our house, the car, the electricity, water, even Netflix. And do you know what this means? This means you can do whatever you like with every penny you earn because you don’t live under these constraints and responsibilities like adults do. As well as being able to do what you will with the money you earn, it also educates you on the value of money. Once you start spending and making your own you learn the value of it, setting you up for the time you become independent. So keep scrolling to peep some ideas to earn money without walking outside your gate…
Do what I did – start a blog, earn money off affiliate marketing, ads…
Become an influencer – Got a few thousand followers on social media? Sign up for an affiliate program and earn money by promoting brands products.
Got a passion for writing? Sell your stories, articles and essays to willing bloggers and creators or share them on a website!
Create a product – Lip gloss? Makeup? Custom T-shirts? If you have created a product worthy of selling – sell it online!
Resell – Buy something for cheap and then resell it for double the price! This goes for anything, from clothes to books!
Sell artwork – similar to the sell a product, but if you have a talent for art, photography etc. sell it online or create a product out of it – make it into a sticker or a printed t-shirt!
Complete online surveys.
Start a YouTube Channel – make money off advertising.
Make a Pinterest account – create eye-catching pins for affiliate linking.
Start a Podcast! Earn money off advertisement.

See? There are more ways to make money as a teen than you think, other than the classic ‘pocket money’ or your parents telling you to ‘get a job’. And most of these don’t require to much effort, but mean that you have the flexibility of choosing your working hours so they don’t affect extra-curricular activities and your schoolwork.
